I made it! A few days ago I arrived to Buenos Aires after
a hurricane of chores, errands, events and emotions…
moving oversea is no joke, ah? Now, sitting on the 8th.
floor of a modern building in Buenos Aires, and looking at
other buildings and lots of trees embraced by a blue sky
and plenty of sun rays, all seems like a dream.. and to
think of that I’m already starting another one :)

I’ve had some time to explore the city and of course I’ve
visited a couple of ‘dieteticas’, or natural health food

Here you can find a variety of natural and organic foods
but nnnever, like in Canada, at least where I lived. There
are so many restrictions that prevent imported products to
get into the country that you would never imagine.

Anyhoo, one of the things that caught my attention is how
much they enrich foods with gluten. It seems to be an
important source of protein to those who are vegetarian. I
wonder how they really feel about it.. how their bodies
respond and their digestive system.

Why am I saying this?

Cuz it’s been shown that gluten is a compound very hard to
digest. It’s very, very complex protein and many experts
in nutrition say that gluten clogs the digestive system,
irritates the digestive tract and causes food allergies
and sensitivities.

I’ve had my share with gluten and for months I had to stay
away from it. Today I can have it but I’ve minimized my
consumption a lot.

Gluten is one of the reasons why lots of people find it
difficult to trim their body. Gluten can make you feel
bloated, heavy, and it adds pounds easily.

You don’t have to develop celiac disease to feel the
difference between eating foods with gluten and without it. If
you would like to see how gluten makes you feel – and look –
simply try, for two weeks, to go without it. There are many
foods you can have which have no gluten so no worries,
it won’t be the end of the world.. you won’t go hungry.

Notice how your digestion and elimination changes. Notice
how you feel in general and if there are any changes in
your waist 😉
